The Garden of Becoming: A Digital Journal Kit for Your Creative Season
Updated: 24 minutes ago

Every new beginning starts somewhere small.
A seed tucked into the soil. A thought scribbled on a scrap of paper. A quiet decision to make a little space for yourself.
That’s the idea behind The Garden of Becoming—the theme that inspired our first Spring Wildflower Box.
But you don’t need a box of beautiful supplies to begin your own garden.
A journal, a few paper scraps and fifteen minutes are enough.
Today, let’s use them to create a page about something you’d like to nurture in this season of your life.
The Garden of Becoming is a digital printable journal kit, currently available exclusively inside the Wildflower Garden Collective.
Download and print your pages at home, then tear, layer, collage and create a journal that blooms in your own beautiful way.
The photos show how I’ve used the designs in my handmade journal, alongside vintage papers and other embellishments.
Your kit is a digital download; physical journals, supplies and styling items aren’t included.
Join the Wildflower Garden Collective to access your kit, find your 15 and see what grows.

What would you like to grow?
Before you reach for the glue, take a little pause.
Let your shoulders soften.
Notice your breath. Ask yourself:
“What would I like to make more room for?”
Perhaps it’s calm.
Perhaps it’s confidence, curiosity or connection.
Maybe you miss making things with your hands. Maybe you’d love to spend a little less time scrolling and a little more time doing something that feels good.
You don’t need a big answer.
Choose one small thing you’d like to nurture, just as you might choose a seed to plant.
Join the Garden Collective to receive your printable kit and make space for a little creative growth this season.

Three blank journals, one season
Inside the WIldflower box are three blank journals, ready for whatever you would like to grow in them.
There’s no perfect way to use a journal.
One might become a home for your thoughts.
Another could hold collected memories, paper layers and little bits of everyday life.
Or you might leave them open and let each one find its own purpose as the season unfolds.
You don’t need to fill every page or have a plan before you begin. Start with one small thing that catches your eye.

Papers and little treasures to play with
The Wildflower box brings together vintage-inspired papers, book pages, floral designs, tags, pockets and handmade details.
There are ribbons, little pieces of ephemera and creative supplies to help you make a page that feels like yours.
Some pieces may remind you of a garden path or a forgotten story. Others might simply make you smile.
Choose the ones you’re drawn to and see what happens when you put them together.
A page doesn’t have to be polished to be meaningful.
It can be a place to experiment, to collect a thought or to enjoy the feeling of making something with your hands.

Gather your little paper garden
For this activity, you’ll need:
A journal or a loose sheet of paper
Three paper scraps that catch your eye
Glue or a glue stick
A pen
Optional extras: a floral image, ribbon, sticker or little piece of ephemera
Old book pages, an envelope, leftover wrapping paper or a piece of packaging will all work beautifully.
If you have a Wildflower Box, this is a lovely way to begin exploring your supplies.
Otherwise, have a little wander through what you already own.
Choose something because you like it. That’s reason enough.
Start with Find Your 15: Plant a Page
Set aside fifteen minutes and let yourself begin.
1. Choose your word
Think about what you’d like to grow and choose a word for your page.
You might try:
Calm. Courage. Play. Trust. Connection. Begin.
Write it on a small scrap of paper.
My word might be space—a reminder to leave a little room between all the things I’m doing, rather than filling every corner of the day.
What would yours be?
2. Tear and arrange your papers
Take your three paper scraps and tear them into shapes or strips.
Let the edges be uneven.
Turn a piece sideways.
Allow one layer to peek out from underneath another.
Move them around your page until you find an arrangement you enjoy.
Think of it like planting a little garden. A taller piece here, something smaller beside it, a little space for everything to breathe.
Then glue them down.
3. Plant your word
Add your chosen word somewhere on the page.
You could tuck it into the layers, place it in the centre or leave it quietly in a corner.
If you feel like adding a flower, a ribbon or a little doodle, go ahead.
And if you like your page as it is, you can stop there too.
4. Give your seed something to grow with
Beneath your collage—or on the facing page—finish this sentence:
“One small way I can nurture more ______ this week is…”
Keep your answer small enough to fit into your actual life.
If your word is calm, you might drink your morning tea outside.
If it’s connection, you might call a friend or spend a few quiet minutes with an animal.
If it’s play, perhaps you’ll leave your journal open on the table and add one little thing tomorrow.
A seed needs tending. Your intention deserves a little care too.
Let your page grow at your pace
When your fifteen minutes are up, have a look at what you’ve made.
Notice one detail you enjoy.
The texture of a torn edge. The colours together. The word you chose.
You might feel finished. You might want to return another day.
Both are welcome.
Your journal can hold unfinished pages, changing ideas and words that mean something different a month from now. It can grow alongside you.
Just like a garden, it will have its own seasons.

A little Soul Inquiry
If you’d like to spend a few more moments reflecting, choose one question:
What am I ready to begin, even if I feel unsure?
What helps me feel nourished?
Where could I give myself more patience?
What small sign of growth have I overlooked?
Write a sentence, a few words or whatever comes.
There’s no need to answer every question. Follow the one that catches your attention.
